Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my re-election campaign to continue serving you on the Knox County Commission.
Over the last three and half years, I have been proud to represent District 3, which includes the Cedar Bluff, Amherst, Bearden, and Ball Camp communities. I hope to earn your support so that we can continue putting people over politics and bringing improvements to our communities.
My roots and love for our community runs deep. I graduated from Karns Highschool, have been a proud wife to my husband, Stanton, for 36 years, been a realtor in Knoxville since 2005, and have raised my children here, who are now raising their children right here in Knox County.
Knoxville is an amazing place to work, start a business, raise a family, and build community, and these things are how my passion for public service began because I want future generations to enjoy the same opportunities I had. Since before running for elected office, I have served on multiple boards and organizations to continue improving Knox County. This includes serving as Legislative Chair, Vice President, and President of the Cedar Bluff PTSA, serving on the County Ethics Committee, County Tax Equalization Board, and Knox County Sheriff’s Merit System Council. Most recently, alongside the honor of representing District 3 on Knox County Commission, I have had the privilege of serving as the Chair of the Knox County Commission for the last two years.
As your county commissioner, my motto has always been to put people over politics. Local government is about engaging with communities, maintaining our roads, funding our schools, keeping our parks clean, and revitalizing infrastructure. My focus is serving you.
It has been an honor to serve my community, and I hope you will consider lending me your support by voting for me on May 5th in the Republican Primary so I may continue to serve you as your Knox County Commissioner. -Gina Oster

Issues
Public Safety - Support funding for our Sheriff's department so we can fill position vacancies and make sure our communities are safe from violent criminals and offenders vandalizing property.
Education - Make sure our schools are properly funded while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
Fiscal Conservative - Knox county is experiencing substantial growth and our current tax revenue increases reflect this economic growth. County government needs to be good stewards of that money while investing in essential services and infrastructure.
